Dr. Arteaga completed a dedicated research year focused on hearing and balance disorders prior to his residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. During residency, he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, presenting his work at national scientific meetings.
Driven by his passion for the medical and surgical management of ear disorders, Dr. Arteaga pursued fellowship training in Otology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for disorders of hearing, balance, and related conditions.
Dr. Arteaga is fluent in English and Spanish and provides comprehensive ENT care for both pediatric and adult patients. He treats a wide range of general ear, nose, and throat conditions, including sinusitis, nasal obstruction, tonsillitis, sore throat, and voice disorders.
He has advanced expertise in disorders of the ear and balance system. His clinical focus includes hearing loss, tinnitus, recurrent ear infections, ear pain and fullness, eustachian tube dysfunction (both obstructive and patulous), mastoiditis, facial nerve disorders, superior semicircular canal dehiscence, Ménière’s disease, chronic imbalance, and vertigo.
Dr. Arteaga specializes in advanced otologic surgery, including cochlear implantation, bone-anchored hearing devices (BAHA), stapedotomy, and ossicular chain reconstruction. His goal is to restore hearing, improve balance, and enhance quality of life through thoughtful, evidence-based care and surgical precision.
Dr. Arteaga is an avid soccer player who has competed internationally, including participation in the Physicians World Medical Football Championship. His passion for the sport reflects his commitment to teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, qualities he brings to his medical practice every day. Outside of medicine, Dr. Arteaga treasures time with his wife and two children. He enjoys traveling and exploring cultures around the world, embracing opportunities to broaden his perspective and connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
